Live N.J. Power Outage Tracker: Thousands Remain Without Power During Warm Weather

Thousands of homes and businesses in New Jersey remain without power on Monday during another steamy day of warm weather across the state.

As of 1:30 p.m., more than 5,700 outages were reported, down from a peak of 43,000 overnight after strong thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening.

Temperatures in New Jersey are mainly in the low 80s with breezy conditions and lower humidity on Monday afternoon, providing relief from a week-long stretch of 90-plus degree readings across most of the state.

JCP&L has made ice and water available to customers without power. Locations for these resources can be found here.

Around mid-morning, there were more than 15,000 outages across the state before the number dropped shortly thereafter.

Temperatures are expected to climb back into the 90s on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a heat index reaching around 100 on Wednesday.
